Both SurfsHUB hostels are converted village homes, not hotels. That means thick walls, roof terraces, a shared kitchen, and rooms that are simple, clean and quiet. The Taghazout hostel has 21 beds in the middle of the village; the Tamraght hostel has 32 beds and a garden on the hill above the beach.
Shared
Bunk beds two high, never three. Taghazout has a mixed dorm of six and a women-only dorm of four; Tamraght has a mixed dorm, a women-only dorm and a six-bed dorm, six beds each. Three of the five dorms have a bathroom of their own. Linen and towels included. Ask for the women-only dorm on the booking form.
Private
A double bed or two single beds, the towels folded on the bed: four private rooms in Taghazout, six in Tamraght, all but one with a bathroom of their own. This is the Two Together room; on a Solo booking it costs €20 more a night.
Family
Three single beds in one room, at both hostels, or the quadruple room in Taghazout for four; each with its own bathroom. Add a double room for the rest of the family; cots and a child's board on request.

Breakfast is on the roof at 09:00: eggs, msemen and amlou, fruit, yoghurt, coffee. Lunch is packed by the hostel kitchen and eaten on the beach between sessions: salads, grilled chicken or fish, bread from the village oven, fruit. Dinner at 20:00 is one long table and one menu a day, mostly Moroccan and mostly cooked over the afternoon by the hostel cook: tagines, grilled sardines from the slipway, couscous on Fridays. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal needs are catered for once we know about them at booking.
