Privacy notice
This notice explains what Surf Camp Taghazout Ltd, the company behind SurfsHUB, collects when you use this website, enquire or book, and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not skimmed.
What we collect and why
Enquiries. Your name, email, the hostel and dates you mention and your message, so we can answer. Kept for 12 months, then deleted.
Bookings. Your name, email, phone, arrival date, party size, surf level and notes, so we can run your stay. Payment is taken by Stripe on Stripe's own page; we never see your card number. Stripe sends us the payment reference, the amount and your email. Booking records are kept for 7 years for accounting law.
Analytics and advertising cookies. Only if you accept them in the banner. Analytics (Google Analytics 4) tells us which pages help people; advertising cookies (Google Ads) tell us whether our ads led to a booking. Rejecting both changes nothing about the site.
Surf forecast and flight prices. The forecast on our pages and the flight fares are fetched by our own server, from NOAA (through PacIOOS), MET Norway, Marea and Travelpayouts; your browser does not contact them and no cookie is set. If you type a city into the flight search, what you type is sent to Travelpayouts to suggest airports. A fare or a search opens Aviasales in a new tab; if you then book a flight there, we may earn a commission, at no cost to you.
Who else sees it
Stripe (payments), Google (analytics and advertising: anonymous, cookieless counts are sent for everyone; cookies and anything that identifies you only with consent, which you can change any time under Cookie settings in the footer), our email provider, Travelpayouts (only what you type into the flight search, sent by our server), and the Moroccan authorities where a guest register is required by law on arrival. Nobody else, and nothing is sold.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by writing to contact@surfshub.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
