Booking terms

1. The booking

A booking is made when you pay the deposit or full amount on this website and receive our written confirmation by email. The confirmation names the hostel, the dates, the package, the party size and the total price.

2. Payment

A deposit of 15% of the total is payable at booking, or the full amount if you choose. The balance is due on arrival at the hostel in euros, dirhams or by card. Prices are in euros and include everything listed on the packages page for the package booked.

3. Cancellation by you

Cancellation is by written notice to contact@surfshub.com, up to the day before arrival. With more than 14 days to go, we refund everything you have paid, in full, to the card you paid with. 14 days or less before arrival, or on a no-show, the deposit (15% of the booking total) is retained, because accommodation and transport are by then held for you and hard to resell; any amount paid above the deposit is refunded. We always look at moving your dates first (section 4).

4. Changes

You may move your dates once without charge up to 3 days before arrival, subject to availability in the same hostel; the new stay is charged at the rates in force for its dates. A second change, or a change inside the last 3 days, is treated as a cancellation and a new booking.

5. Cancellation by us

If we cannot provide your stay for reasons within our control, we refund everything you have paid in full. If the cause is outside anyone's control (severe weather closing the airport, official travel bans), we offer a credit for a later stay or a refund of everything paid less costs we cannot recover.

6. Surfing

Surfing carries risk. Coaching is led by our head coach, who holds a Level 1 surf coaching certificate; you must follow the coaches' instructions in the water, and you must tell us honestly about your level, swimming ability and health. We may decline to take you into the water if conditions or your condition make it unsafe, without refund for that session.

7. Insurance

You must hold travel insurance covering surfing, medical treatment and repatriation for the whole stay. We may ask to see the policy on arrival.

8. The hostel

Check-in from 13:00, check-out by 11:00. Quiet hours from 23:00. Damage beyond normal wear is charged at cost. We may ask a guest whose behaviour endangers or seriously disturbs others to leave without refund.

9. Liability

We are liable for loss caused by our negligence or breach of these terms, up to the total price of the booking, and we do not exclude liability where the law does not allow it. We are not liable for flight delays, lost luggage or events outside our control.

10. Law

English and Welsh law applies to these terms, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Contract language is English; translations are for convenience.
