Surf camp Morocco price: what a stay at SurfsHUB costs, all in

What a surf camp in Morocco costs at SurfsHUB comes down to two choices, the hostel and your level, and the answer is one figure per person for the whole stay: from €150 for 3 nights at the Tamraght hostel as a beginner to €490 for 7 nights at the Taghazout hostel as an intermediate, with the bed, the daily surf trips with coaching, board and wetsuit, three meals a day, yoga and the airport transfer inside it. Below are the full table by hostel and level, what the figure leaves out, how you pay, and how a stay compares with a hostel bed and lessons bought by the session.

How much does a surf camp in Morocco cost? The figures by hostel and level

Every package at SurfsHUB is priced per person for the whole stay, and the figure follows two choices: the hostel, Tamraght or Taghazout, and your level, beginner or intermediate. There are no seasonal supplements, so a week at Christmas costs the same as a week in May, and the booking page prices any length from 3 to 28 nights the same way, arriving on any day of the week. These are the totals for the three stays most people book.

The stay total per person, by hostel and level, with the coaching, meals, yoga and transfer inside, 2026–27
Hostel and level3 nights5 nights7 nights
Tamraght, beginner€150€250€350
Tamraght, intermediate€180€300€420
Taghazout, beginner€180€300€420
Taghazout, intermediate€210€350€490

Beginner means you have never surfed or have had a few lessons and still need help choosing waves; intermediate means you paddle out on your own, catch unbroken waves and turn. Intermediates pay more because their days run to the points with a coach in the water and smaller boards. The Tamraght hostel is the cheaper of the two at both levels and the one we send first weeks and families to; the Taghazout hostel, in the centre of the point village, costs more at both levels and is the one for surfers who want Panorama, Hash Point and Anchor Point on foot. Taghazout vs Tamraght compares the two villages wave by wave, and if you had been looking for a camp in Agadir itself, our surf camp near Agadir explains why the hostels sit up the coast, where the waves are, rather than in the city.

What the Tamraght and Taghazout surf camp prices include

  • A bed in a dorm of four to six, with linen and towels
  • A surf trip with coaching every day, in groups of up to eight per coach, split by level
  • Board and wetsuit for the whole stay, swapped as you progress
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, cooked in the hostel
  • Daily yoga on the roof terrace, and the video review before dinner
  • The airport transfer both ways from Agadir Al Massira (AGA), at any hour
  • From 5 nights, a full excursion day: Paradise Valley, Souk El Had in Agadir and an argan-oil village, in place of that day's surf trip

The ride to the spot is in there too: the hostel van takes every session to the beach and runs between our two hostels at no charge, so a Tamraght guest who is ready for Anchor Point gets there without a taxi. The full list, stay by stay and day by day, is on the packages page.

What is not in the price, and is Taghazout expensive?

Three things sit outside the figure: your flights, your travel insurance, which must cover surfing and is a condition of booking, and the Imsouane day trip, €40 per person, paid on the day, offered once a week when the wave is on. On a stay shorter than 5 nights the excursion day is not included either; ask at the hostel if you would like to go. The one add-on to the stay itself is the private room, €20 per room per night, however many of you share it, shown with its price before you pay.

As for whether Taghazout is expensive: inside the hostel the answer is the table above, and nothing is added at check-in. Outside it there is not much to spend money on in either village: lunch in a Tamraght café costs a little less than in Taghazout, Tamraght sells no alcohol and Taghazout little, and the evening happens on the roof rather than in a bar. The rest you pay in cash on arrival is printed on your confirmation, so you know the figure before you fly.

How you pay: the deposit, the cash on arrival, the group discount

At checkout you pay a 15% deposit by card, on Stripe's own page, and the written confirmation arrives by email within minutes with the hostel address, the pick-up plan and the amount left to pay. The rest is paid in cash when you arrive at the hostel, in euros or dirhams. From five people, 5% comes off the total, taken off automatically when you book, whatever the package, so a family of five, or two families booking together, pay a little less per head. Cancel more than 14 days before arrival and everything you have paid comes back in full; from 14 days out the deposit is kept, and one date change is free up to 3 days before arrival. The booking terms are the text that counts.

A pair, a family, a group: the same per-person figure

The figure is always per person, whoever is coming. Two of you booking Two Together pay the per-person rate each, plus the private room you share at €20 per room per night, with a double bed or twin beds. A family books Group & Family: everyone pays the rate of their own level, children from 10 count as beginners, and the triple rooms at both hostels take parents and a child at the same €20 per room per night; a family surf holiday in Morocco works through a week with children room by room. A group of friends at mixed levels counts its beginners and intermediates separately, each at their own rate, and the coaching is split by level on the beach either way.

Surf lessons in Taghazout or Tamraght: a lesson bought on its own, set against the stay

People ask whether it is cheaper to book a hostel bed in Taghazout or Tamraght and arrange lessons on arrival. On this coast a lesson bought on its own is sold by the session, with the board and the wetsuit for that session, and you add the rest yourself: the bed, three meals a day, the ride to whichever spot is working that morning and the taxi from the airport. We do not sell lessons that way, and other schools' rates are theirs to quote. What a stay with us bundles is all of that at one figure, with the same coach beside you for the week, so the feedback builds instead of restarting each morning, and the van takes your group to the spot the coach has picked from the tide table for your level.

For someone who wants one lesson and a week of lying on the beach, the session is the better buy. For a beginner who wants to stand up on day one and, if the swell allows, ride an unbroken wave at Banana Point by day five, the stay is: how our surf lessons work, day by day shows what the coaching does with the week, and learn to surf in Morocco follows a first week from the whitewater to the first green wave.

Booking your stay

Pick the hostel and your level on the booking page, choose any arrival and departure dates from 3 nights, and the page shows the exact total before you pay the deposit. Our Tamraght surf camp and our Taghazout surf camp describe each hostel room by room, and a stay can be split between the two, at least 2 nights in each, each leg at its own hostel's rate. If you are not sure which level to book, book beginner and say so in the notes; the coach sorts the groups on the beach on the first morning.

Questions people ask us

Why does Taghazout cost more than Tamraght?

The two hostels are priced separately, and Taghazout is the dearer one at every level and length: €180 against €150 for 3 nights as a beginner, €210 against €180 as an intermediate, and €420 against €350 for a beginner's 7 nights. What Taghazout gives you is the point village itself, Panorama five minutes on foot, Hash Point ten and Anchor Point along the coast road; Taghazout vs Tamraght helps you decide whether that is worth it to you.

Does the stay cost more at Christmas or in half term?

Not with us. There are no seasonal supplements, so the per-person figure for a given hostel, level and number of nights is the same in the Christmas fortnight as in May. The weeks from December to March are the first to fill, so those want booking as soon as the flights are fixed; the packages page has the totals.

Are the prices per person or per room?

Per person for the stay, at every hostel and level, with a bed in a dorm included. The private room is the only figure stated per room: €20 per room per night, however many of you share it, and on Two Together each pair pays it for its own room. The rooms page shows every room at both hostels.
